Pastor Benjamin Dube is an award-winning minister, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer from South Africa. He has mentored hundreds of musicians in his homeland and is regarded as one of his country’s most significant recording artists in religious music. He grew up on-stage performing with his siblings and parents in the Dube Family Singers (and later carried on that tradition performing with his three sons, who record and perform as the Dube Brothers). Dube established himself as a solo act in 1986 with his third single, “Holy Spirit.” A crossover hit on local radio stations — secular and religious — it sold more than 25,000 copies in South Africa.

Dube was born the youngest of four children in Johannesburg in 1962, to minister Benjamin and gospel singer and educator Grace. The boy’s parents formed a family group called the Dube Family Singers. At age seven, Benjamin, Jr. began singing and touring internationally on the church circuit with the group and at 12, in 1974, he learned to play guitar, piano, and drums
